International Rural Women's day celebration - 15th October 2009.

Mehergarh will be a partner with PODA in the celebrations of International Rural Women Day celebration on 15th October 2009. A stall will be displayed in the event.

Training for advanced and mid level leaders working in NGOs - 26th September - 1st October 2009

A one week residential training will be organized at Mehergarh center in Spetember 2009. The training will focus on the leaders working in NGOs and development sector.

Advanced Leadership Camp on Democracy and Human Rights - 19th July - 2nd August 2009

An Advacned leadership course on democracy and human rights was organzied by Mehergarh from 19th July till 2nd August 2009.

National Forum On Bonded Labour - 19th May 2009

A national forum on bonded Labour was organzied on 19th May 2009 by Mehergarh and IRC. The forum was orgaznized to highlight the issue of Bonded Labour. Syed Mumtaz Alam Gillani (Minister for Human Rights), Senator Mian Raza Rabbani, Mr I.A.Rehman, Mr Karamat Ali and Ch Manzoor addressed the issue. The event also included screening of a documentary on bonded Labour and a theatre performance by IRC.

Mehergarh Hyderabad Got An Award, March 2007:

Mehergarh received Shah Abdul Latif award, one of the highest honors in Sindh, for its work in Sindh and the presentation of its achievements at the Bhit Shah annual festival in the beginning of March, 2007. 

The award was presented by the minister for culture and accepted by Veerji, Mehergarh's coordinator for Sindh.

Fourth Human Rights Youth Leadership Camp:

Mehergarh will organize its fourth leadership camp from 7th July to 29th August 2008.

Graduation Ceremony of 4th Youth Leadership Camp 2008 at PNCA Hall on 29th August 2008 at 6:00 pm

Mehergarh is organizing An Evening with Habib Jalib's Poetry and The Graduation Ceremony for the participants of the 4th Youth Leadership Camp 2008 at PNCA Auditorium at 6:00 pm.

Seminar on bonded labour:

A seminar on bonded labour was held on the 3rd of Feb, 2007 in Islamabd.

Three women who have suffered in Bondage in the interior of Sindh also participated in the seminar & shared their brutel experience with us.

The booklet, documenting case studies of women in bondage was launched at this siminar.

This seminar was also held in Hyderabad on the 11th of Feb, 2007.
