This activity will not be funded. It will be run by volunteers at Mehergarh. The program is aimed at generating volunteerism among youth. In our times we observe that some of our identities have become so dominant that they interfere with the way we see the world and relate to people in general. For example, being a Muslim has become a dominant identity, where sometimes we start seeing people as two categories, Muslims and non-Muslims. The purpose of this program is enable youth to learn to engage in community work in ways that help them learn to drop all the categories and relate to others only at a human level.

This program will be spread all over the country with proper manuals for those young people who would opt to volunteer to run the program. There will be layers of responsibilities where youth could graduate to higher responsibilities as they fulfill the prescribed levels. This program will work closely with schools in poor communities and other areas where the program could find good opportunities for the participants to volunteer.
